Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to common questions about windows, doors, installation, energy efficiency, window styles, condensation, pricing and project timing in the GTA.
How long does a window or door installation take?
Most of our installations are completed in 1–2 days once your windows or doors are ready. That’s installation time only. Custom orders are manufactured separately and typically take about 7–21 days, depending on the size and specifications.
Do you use a premium window supplier?
Yes. We work with a premium Canadian window supplier and offer a range of vinyl window systems, operating styles and glazing configurations. We help you choose the right system based on your home, priorities and budget.
What types of windows do you offer?
Depending on your project, we offer casement, awning, sliding, hung, bay and bow windows, along with fixed, picture and specialty configurations. We help you choose a style based on ventilation, view, room layout and exterior appearance. See the Window Buying Guide

How do I know when my windows should be replaced?
Common signs include noticeable drafts, difficult operation, damaged frames or hardware, water intrusion, persistent comfort issues, or fog and moisture trapped between insulated glass panes. An in-home assessment can help determine whether replacement is necessary.
Will new windows make my home more energy efficient?
Modern replacement windows can improve comfort and energy performance when they use efficient insulated glass, quality frames and proper air and water sealing. Actual energy savings vary by the condition of your existing windows, your home and the products selected.
What is the difference between a full-frame replacement and a retrofit window?
A retrofit installation generally keeps the existing main window frame and installs a new window into it. A full-frame replacement removes the old window and frame back to the opening, allowing more of the existing assembly to be inspected and replaced. The right approach depends on the condition of your current windows and your project goals.
Can replacement windows help reduce outside noise?
They can. A newer, well-sealed window with modern insulated glass can reduce outside noise compared with older or poorly sealed windows. The amount of sound reduction depends on the glass configuration, frame, installation and the type of noise outside your home.
Why is there condensation on my windows?
Condensation on the room side of the glass is often related to indoor humidity meeting a cold glass surface. Moisture or fog trapped between panes can be a sign that the insulated glass seal has failed. If you are unsure which type you have, send us a photo or request an assessment.
Can windows be replaced during the winter?
Many replacement window projects can be completed during colder months when weather conditions are suitable. Scheduling depends on temperature, precipitation, wind and the specific project. We can recommend the best installation timing for your home.
What should I do before installation day?
Clear furniture, curtains, blinds and fragile items away from the windows or doors being replaced. Make sure installers can access the openings and, where possible, leave driveway or parking space available for materials and tools. We will confirm any project-specific preparation before installation.
How much do replacement windows cost in the GTA?
Window pricing depends on the size and number of openings, window style, glass package, colour and finish options, installation method and site conditions. The best way to get an accurate price is to request a free estimate for your home.
Do you install doors as well as windows?
Yes. We install replacement entry doors and patio doors in addition to windows. We can also help coordinate blinds and shutters so your exterior openings and window coverings are handled through one team.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Use the free estimate form on this page or call or text (647) 559-2818. Tell us your city, what you want to replace and roughly how many windows or doors are involved so we can follow up with the right next steps.
